Play Therapy

A child’s natural form of communication is through play. Play therapy meets children at their developmental perspective to help them express their inner world and emotions, make sense of self, others and their environment. Through the metaphorical nature of play, important themes and symbols can be seen and explored leading to a better understanding of children’s problems. This allows the child to work towards healing through developmentally meaningful interventions (role playing games, toys, puppets, books, colouring etc.).
