Therapists

Hollie Trobak M.C

Registered Psychologist, Founder and Director

I have worked primarily in private practice with children and adults with various concerns. I particularly enjoy helping children heal and witnessing families change and grow for the better. Moreover, my front line work experience and personal military upbringing has nurtured a special interest for helping front line workers including first responders, health care professionals, military personnel, Veterans, and RCMP with the challenges they face.

What heals?

Genuine compassion, empathy, and humor…especially humor, are fundamental components of my clinical practice, which I use to honor and support people towards healing and growth. When combined together, the healing force created is a ‘game changer’ in people’s lives. My approach to psychotherapy is person centered (congrats, you are unique! Your therapy should be too), grounded in attachment theory (relationships are our friend! Don’t argue…everyone needs a friend) and developmental psychology (we all go through life changes, change sucks, but it’s true). This means I believe that understanding our own individuality, our pattern of connection to each other and how we change over the course of our life guides our path to wellness.

So what can I do?

I am experienced in professional consulting, development of psycho-educational workshops, lecturing, and various formal assessments for mood disorders, behavioural concerns, problematic substance use and general psychopathology.

In regards to counselling and psychotherapy, I am very comfortable working with a variety of modalities including: talk therapy, narrative, CBT, solution focused, harm reduction, biofeedback, art therapy, play therapy, play assisted, thera-play, sandtray, sensory processing and somatic work. Therapy is unique to each person and is collaboratively developed based on what modality resonates best within each individual.

The most important Credential!

Bare with me as I walk you through my credentials, I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta. I have a Bachelors of Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Counselling from City University of Seattle. However, the most important credential I have is that I am a regular person, this is important to remember when starting therapy as it can be pretty intimidating sorting through all the credentials, specialties and degrees out there.

Just keep in mind…..

In the end effective therapy and healing is about building a safe, trusting relationship, a ‘healing relationship’ with another person.

Seriously, it’s true.

Also, be forewarned, I laugh at my own jokes.

Bazyl Stefanski M.C.

Registered Psychologist

We face many hardships in life.  Sometimes the difficulties we have are related to our early experiences and the people in our lives.  Each individual possesses a unique set of circumstances that require an adaptive and responsive approach.  My nearly ten years of varied experience in diverse healthcare settings, with people of all ages, and different levels of wellness contributes to my ability to support you in an individualized way.  My trauma informed, person-centered approach to therapy utilises elements of attachment theory, cognitive behavioural techniques, and mindfulness practice, as appropriate, to promote the relationship you have with yourself and others.  From a holistic perspective, we will enhance psychological, physical, emotional, and spiritual domains as needed and with your input.

By fostering a therapeutic relationship, I am able to offer an emotionally reparative experience.  Based on a foundation of empathy and authenticity we can work collaboratively to identify wellness goals and strategies for addressing your concerns.  Together we will travel the journey of healing towards self-actualization and fulfillment.

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.  I obtained a Master of Counselling from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from MacEwan University.

I am pleased to support individual adults, couples, children, youth, and families to REACH their well-being goals, do not hesitate to call and we will work jointly to achieve them.

Jena Comeault – BEd, MACP, CCC

Canadian Certified Counsellor

As a certified counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a background in Special Education, I am dedicated to supporting youth, parents, and families through life’s most challenging transitions. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care.

My work is rooted in a strengths-based and compassionate framework, empowering clients to build resilience, foster emotional regulation, and achieve their therapeutic goals. I have a particular passion for working with neurodivergent youth and their families, providing tailored, inclusive support that honors each individual’s unique needs and communication styles.

Whether helping young people navigate anxiety or depression, guiding parents through post-divorce adjustment, or supporting families facing complex behavioural or emotional challenges, my goal is to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative space for healing and growth.

Alistair Boeré MA, CCC

Canadian Certified Counsellor

My work has primarily been with non-profit agencies in Edmonton. My experience there has taught me that problems don’t intimidate me no matter what, and that everyone deserves care no matter what problems they face.

Consulting with me about your life is a collaborative effort based on your values and beliefs in alignment with the goals you have for your life. I believe that therapy isn’t just about discovery – it’s about choosing who you want to become and what you want for your life. I also don’t believe in working in isolation – life’s easier as part of a team whether that be family, friends, partners, other professionals, whatever!

My work is heavily influenced by Narrative Therapy, but I also draw on other modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, etc) when appropriate. I am especially interested in questions of identity and life transitions: working with young adults, sexual and gender identity and queerness, religious/spiritual identity and trauma, chronic health issues and disability, and more.

I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor and have an MA specializing in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. Before that I obtained a BSc. Hnrs in Physics (life can be funny like that!) I believe that the core of therapy is a human relationship, and I look forward to having the opportunity to see if I am the right person to help you!

Teli

Hi! My name is Teli and I love giving cuddles every chance I get, so prepare your self now for insistent nose nudges. I am a warm, gentle, friendly and a very loving Blue Healer and Border Collie mix. When I’m not running and playing I like to work at fostering comfort, empathy and self-assurance for the hoomans in my world.

I was adopted from a farm in Telqua BC which my hooman Mommy named me after. I get to go visit my doggo parents and brothers and sisters that still live at the farm every year. Also, one of my little brothers was adopted with me and I’m hoping one day he can come to work with me so you can all meet him too!

I love learning new things, playing and getting all the treats. Keep that in mind for session….in my professional opinion, the treats is really what therapy is all about. Mmmm…treats.
